  1. “Protection Space” is a long-term, process-based artwork rooted in ritual practice and material engagement with textile. Through repetitive ritual actions, the artist creates power objects that activate the idea of protection on personal, ancestral, and collective — national — levels. Each object functions as part of an ongoing process in which ritual serves both as a method of creation and as a carrier of meaning.

The work is not confined to a fixed timeframe. New textile forms continuously emerge through the ritual process, and when exhibited together, they generate a shared field of protection. The spatial configuration, scale, and form of the installation remain flexible, adapting to the specific context of each exhibition. Regular public display is an essential component of the work, as it is within the exhibition space that the protective function is activated and recontextualized in relation to place, time, and prevailing social conditions.
